Sex was not painful

Pain during penetration or sexual intercourse is one reason some women are afraid to have sex. Sexual experts from the Department of Sexual Medicine KEM hospital in Parel, India, Rajan Bhonsle says, a condition commonly referred to dyspareunia is common among victims of sexual abuse. It could also be a result of the misleading information they receive.

"Many women do not understand why they are not successful in bed. It could be because they had been abused, or were told by their friends that sex is painful. For various reasons, these women then connect penetrating trauma," said Rajan quoted Times of India website on Friday (09/10/2015)

The usual treatment given to patients with this condition is counseling and try exercises that help them gain intimacy with a relaxed and comfortable.

Sometimes, said Rajan, they are asked to enter his own finger into the vagina. This method helps them realize sexual intercourse is not painful.
